Josh Cocktail, a new artist and songwriter from Los Angeles, started singing when he was 20. He recorded several acoustic home videos and managed to get a loyal fan base on YouTube.
Today, four years later, he moved to New York where he started collaborating with hit producer and songwriter Mic Murphey from the system and Tim K.
Josh Cocktail mainly credits Amos Lee as the reason why he got into music, as he says that he helped him find his voice. Cocktail was also immersed into music at an early age by his father, who himself is a singer/songwriter.
"I grew up listening to musicians who had real soul, raw emotion, deep in their voices," Josh says, "I knew when I started singing that soul would influence the path I would take. You can't fake soul - you either have it in you or you don't".
Josh recently shot the video for his single "Fire", check it out below.
